Bears coach Matt Nagy mum about Kareem Hunt - and Bears’ plans

Kareem Hunt Says He's Going To Get Treatment for Anger Issues Believes He Deserves Forgiveness

The Kansas City Chiefs cut Kareem Hunt, one of the NFL's top running backs, on Friday, hours after the release of a video showing him attacking a woman.

The woman Kareem Hunt slammed down and kicked was initially gung-ho to press charges against the then-NFL superstar, but she's since gone silent.

During a live interview with ESPN on Sunday, the NFL's reigning rushing champion also said that league officials never spoke to him about the incident while conducting their own investigation, and that he never saw the security camera video until TMZ Sports posted it Friday.

The former Kansas City Chiefs running back was filmed kicking and pushing a woman in a video obtained by TMZ.

Hunt was released Friday following the release of the TMZ video after the team determined that Hunt was "not truthful" in his discussions with the Chiefs about what occurred. They made a decision to not press charges against the Kansas City Chiefs running back.

Hunt confirmed that in his interview with ESPN, which aired Sunday, and extended an apology to the team. "I've reached out to him, hoping that he gets the help that he needs and that he can grow as a man, and really, the focus is on Kareem as a person, not the football player right now". The video shows I was in the wrong. The woman has yet to speak publicly about the incident, but told police she thought Hunt should be arrested at the night of the incident. "They pretty much said we love you, everybody cares about you, and just we have to let you go. I made a poor decision and I'm willing to take full responsibility". Due to his release from the Chiefs roster he is now listed on the league waivers and if, as expected, he goes unclaimed by a team by the deadline on Monday he will then become an unrestricted free agent.

Trump, Xi Agree On Tariff Cease-Fire, As Trade Talks Continue
After a much anticipated dinner between the United States and China, both presidents emerged from a "highly successful meeting". USA officials have warned about China's increasing influence across swaths of the developing world, including Latin America.

"But we have a strong support system, both with the coaching staff and also with our player development that works with young guys and talks to them about the situations that they want to be in", the chairman said.

Police were called to the scene during the February 10 incident, but no charges were filed.

However, Hunt is on the commissioner's exempt list, meaning he can not practice or play in games.

"There was definitely some things that were said and did that I did not like, and that's not an excuse", Hunt said. He was reinstated after an indefinite league suspension but never played again in the NFL. The Washington Redskins just recently picked Reuben Foster up after his second accusal of domestic violence.

What happens now? Hunt appears to want to acknowledge his wrongdoing with the intention of beginning his suspension as soon as possible.

Hunt has apologized for his actions but is expected to face a lengthy ban. "And I know that's where I masked a lot of my problems".
