Enough is enough, former Wallabies call for Cheika's head

Adam Ashley Cooper and Kurtley Beale have been dropped by Australia coach Michael Cheika for the Autumn International against England for disciplinary reasons

"If they don't want to then I'll find another sport".

Experienced duo Kurtley Beale and Adam Ashley-Cooper invited guests back two weeks ago after their 9-6 defeat by Wales.

Cheika said Beale had been left out of the team based on form, but clearly now this is not the case.

The embarrassing episode comes amid increasing pressure on Cheika, whose role as Australian coach is hanging by a thread.

Australia have suffered significant disruption after their breakdown master David Pocock was ruled out of Saturday's final November worldwide against England at Twickenham and two players were not considered for a breach of team protocol.

"I don't think I need to come out and tell anyone just for the sake of it".

The Wallabies arrived in London on Sunday, and Cheika said the leadership group approached him on Tuesday to penalise Beale and Ashley-Cooper for breaching team protocol.

The painful experiences Australia have endured this year will be transformed into victories next year promised a defiant Wallabies coach Michael Cheika following the 37-18 defeat by England at Twickenham on Saturday.

"It could be compared to not being on curfew or late for training", Cheika said.

"It's a relatively minor inter-team rule that we have".

"I nearly feel like I've got a repeat of this very day in 2014", Cheika said after Saturday's loss.

"She couldn't guarantee? You'd have to talk to her about those things", Cheika said.

"There's different times where we bring our families into the hotel and different things like that but this was different, and even though there's nothing sinister I still think the rules are rules, the team law's the team law and I think that's where we've got to go".

"But once it was pointed out to them that the rule was there for a reason, they recognised that they had erred, and they accepted the team and Michael's position".

'We are down to seventh in the world after starting at No 3. You know, we've got big goals as a team.

"Dave pushed himself really hard to get in contention to go, as he always does", captain Michael Hooper said.

"We've got our eye on about 48 players at this point that we'll have a look at around planning over the whole season".

He said it had been a bad year, but was convinced Australia weren't that far off the mark and pointed out the Wallabies had been hit by injuries to key players throughout the year.

"We've got one of the best doctors in world sport in Nathan Gibbs".
