China dismisses claim it eavesdropped on Trump's iPhone calls

Donald Trump listens to a call on his mobile phone in 2016

The report claims that American agencies have become aware that both Russian and Chinese counterparts have access to phone calls made by the president, with China apparently using the information it is able to glean as a tool to help stave off the potential escalation of the trade war between the United States and China. "There were lots of people who were anxious about this".

But, the irony of his tweet was quickly picked up by savvy social media users, who pointed out that the tweet was sent from an iPhone. "I like Hard Lines", he wrote.

Mr. Trumpreacted to the report through his Twitter account Thursday, labeling it "fake news".

Trump reportedly has two iPhones that were programmed by the National Security Agency for official use, but he keeps a third, personal phone that remains unaltered - much like the normal iPhones on the consumer market, according to the officials.

However, the names of the White House officials and individuals working within these foreign governments have remained anonymous for security reasons.

Trump's cell phone use has been noted throughout his tenure, and security experts have raised concerns in the past.

"The phone is rotated on a regular basis and is constantly monitored for any security vulnerabilities and attacks, in accordance with recommendations from the intelligence community".

"If they are still not at ease, then in order to have an entirely secure device, they can stop using all forms of modern communication devices and cut off all ties with the outside world", she said.

During the daily press briefing, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying dismissed the report as "fake news" and mocked the whole situation by bringing up Huawei, which the USA has repeatedly accused of state-sponsored spying.

In Russia, the Kremlin's spokesman, Dmitri S. Peskov, responded similarly when asked whether the Kremlin was gathering intelligence from Trump's phone. The Times also stated that Trump has two iPhones: one for Twitter and other basic web apps, and one for making phone calls.

One of Trump's former aides, Omarosa Manigault Newman, disputed President Trump's denial.

Earlier this week a report broke that Chinese spies were eavesdropping on Donald Trump's phone calls from his personal, unsecured iPhone, which obviously carries a ton of political implications that your local Android site probably isn't qualified to evaluate.

"This is a big problem, if true", Sen.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying set out to mock the NYT report on Thursday and dismiss all charges that say Chinese electronics are not secure.

The sources go on to say that the tapping problem has been verified by those in foreign governments, as well as through USA espionage.

The Chinese are said to be using information picked up from monitoring Trump's calls to figure out who he listens to the most.
