Trump in new Omarosa tape: "Nobody even told me about it"

Michael Cohen denies Omarosa's claim that Trump once chewed up a piece of paper

"Nobody ever told me about it", he responds.

He added: "While I know it's "not presidential" to take on a lowlife like Omarosa, and while I would rather not be doing so, this is a modern day form of communication and I know the Fake News Media will be working overtime to make even Wacky Omarosa look legitimate as possible". The famous room, which is located behind a locked door in the basement of the West Wing of the White House, is known to be the most secure and technologically advanced places in the US government so for Omarosa's firing to be done in the room indicates those involved wanted it to be under wraps.

Manigault Newman, whose book "Unhinged" is out this week, suggested there was more to come, saying: "There's a lot of very corrupt things happening in the White House and I am going to blow the whistle on a lot of them".

The Trump campaign and Lara Trump declined to comment on Manigault Newman's description of the deal Lara Trump supposedly offered her.

But the incident isn't in her book because she didn't hear the tape until after the book was published.

"Nobody even told me about it" Mr. Trump said.

"I've heard his voice", Manigault Newman said. She adds: "The only other explanation was that his mental state was so deteriorated that the filter between the worst impulses of his mind and his mouth were completely gone". "And now she writes a book and all of a sudden she's like an oracle".

After Kelly let her go, she reportedly tried, unsuccessfully, to reach Trump directly to issue a personal appeal, setting off a secret-service alarm in the process.

The Korean Peninsula is still technically in a state of war because the fighting ended with a cease-fire, not a peace treaty. Security Council could discuss loosening sanctions on Pyongyang after the June 12 Singapore meeting between Trump and Kim.

White House aides are exploring what punishment she could face for the purported recording in the Situation Room and in the building, according to a senior administration official.

She made her allegations on U.S. television hours after the president had responded to a question about her book - "Unhinged: An Insider's Account of the Trump White House" - by saying: "Low life".

Ms. Manigault Newman explained that as a whistleblower, she is not anxious about any legal ramifications. "I heard the tape", she said. She claimed the recording was made when Kelly took her into the Situation Room, a specially secure room where the president and his top aides address major national security crises, and where personal cell phones are not allowed.

Reports of the bombshell allegations in the book against Trump caught fire this week, including her calling him a "racist", "misogynist", and a "bigot" alongside accounts of him using a racial slur on the set of The Apprentice, and eating a piece of paper in the Oval Office.

What do her critics say?

"Today" previewed the interview in the 7 a.m. half-hour, but held Manigault Newman to 7:30.

"Being used by Donald Trump for so long I was like the frog in hot water".

When the first excerpts from the book were released last Friday, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders released a statement saying the book is "riddled with lies and false accusations".
